The spas and health resorts have been offering occupational health management programs since 1999. Baden-Württemberg was thus the first federal state to devote itself to this topic across the board via the spas and health resorts. The offers are aimed at employees and workers. They include measures for the areas of nutrition, exercise and relaxation/dealing with stress. A sustainable prevention effect is achieved if the measures are carried out regularly and the participants are given suitable tips and practices to implement what they have learned in their everyday lives.

The concept

The concept is based on a combination of several parameters:

  • Short 3- to 4-day measures (also as "trial days" limited to two overnight stays)
  • Clear focus on prevention
  • Basic initial medical examination
  • Identification of all preventive services in accordance with the German Social Code (SGB V)
  • Optional medical services
  • Participants' contribution to accommodation and meal costs as well as costs for optional medical services or assumption of costs by the employer
The offers are quality-tested in accordance with the statutory health insurance guidelines. This means that the prevention services listed separately in the offers can be subsidized or fully reimbursed by the statutory health insurance (GKV) (depending on the statutes of the respective statutory health insurance fund).
